Searching, Sorting, and Filtering User Accounts

Searching, sorting, and filtering user accounts can occur from within the Project Server, Build Management, or the Artifact Repository. Management features include:

  • Sorting the user accounts by User Name, Full Name, Email, Permanent, Validated, Locked, and Tasks, in ascending or descending order.
  • Running and viewing a Roles Matrix report.
  • Viewing users with certain roles.
  • Viewing a list of users in an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Filtering the list of users by roles.

To perform any of these activities, click on Users in the Manage menu from the Project Server, Build Management, or the Artifact Repository pages.

To filter by the contents of certain fields:

  1. Enter the query text into the text box above the field you are querying on. For example if you wanted to search for a Full Name that contains "Joe", enter "Joe" into the text box above the User Name field.
  2. Click Filter.

    Note: if you have Javascript enabled on your browser, you can type return after you enter the text into the box, instead of using the filter button.

  3. To clear the text and display the default user list, click Clear.

To sort the user's list in ascending or descending order for any field, simply click the field name. For example to sort by User Name in descending order, click User Name and it will sort it in the opposite order from which it is currently sorted. Then, perform the same step as above to sort on Full Name, Email, Permanent, Validated, or Locked.

To Filter by Role, select the role to filter on from the pull-down menu next to the Show Users in Role button and click Show Users In Role.

To view an Excel spreadsheet containing a list of users and roles assigned to each, click the User List report icon and follow the prompts to save to disk or open.

To view an Excel spreadsheet containing a list of users and roles assigned to each, click the Roles Matrix report icon and follow the prompts to save to disk or open.
