User Roles Management

The Roles option from the navigation menu on the left side allows the administrator to manage both the users and user roles. Other user role details such as the parent roles, child roles, permissions, and the list of users related to the selected role are displayed.

Clicking on the role name from the list in figure above will display the Role details page as shown in the next figure with the parent roles, child roles, permissions, and the list of users that inherits the parent role as well as the list of users granted with the selected role.

Note: Clicking on the roles under the Parent Roles, Child Roles, and List of Users will direct the user to the same page (below), but this time, displaying the selected role.

To edit the role description and at the same time manage users of the current role:

  1. Click Edit.
  2. Modify the Description of the role. And/or manage the users by selecting the user account(s) from the list of Users defined with the current role section and click:
    • -->: to grant then current role to the user accounts from the left side list.
    • <--: to remove then current role from the user accounts from the right side list.

  3. Click Save.
